DBT Teens Skills Group – Course Overview
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is a type of talk therapy that helps individuals manage intense emotions, reduce self-destructive behaviours, and build healthier relationships. It combines cognitive-behavioural strategies with mindfulness practices and is particularly effective for those experiencing emotional dysregulation, risk-taking behaviours, or interpersonal difficulties.
DBT Teens Skills Group is an online program designed for teens aged 13 to 17. The program includes an intake appointment followed by 12 weekly 60-minute group sessions, focusing on practical DBT skills across four key modules:
Each session introduces one to two new skills through interactive activities, group discussion, and real-life examples. Teens are encouraged to practise these skills between sessions through optional homework tasks.
